Swami Narayan Temple

If you want to include a religious excursion in your list of tourist places in Surat, SwamiNarayan Temple is the best one. This Hindu shrine is entirely dedicated to the Swaminarayan Section of Vaishnavism. It is considered to be highly auspicious by the locals of Surat. Initially built in the honour of Sahajananda Swami, the temple was constructed beautifully with pink coloured stone and embellished with marvellous carvings.

The architectural representation of the temple carvings itself signifies the influence of Swaminarayan Sampraday here. Swaminarayan devotees spread across the world who believe in his divinity spare some time free from their routine schedule for visiting this holy shrine of Surat.
