Pokharan Fort

Built by the clan of Rathores, the Pokhran fort exhibits the marvels of ancient rajasthani architecture. Not only do you get to enjoy a photography session here with beautiful backdrops but the fort also lets you seep into the history.

Dading back to several hundred years, the fort still stands without any harm and houses a museum and a resort in its premises. One of the most famous Places to visit in Pokhran, this fort will let you marvel at various beautiful angles of the sunset from its many corners. Standing still since the fourteenth century, the fort houses various other structures inside it including a Hawa Mahal, Mangal Niwas and Phool Mahal.

Baba Ramdev Temple

Dedicated to Baba Ramdeoji who was believed to be the incarnation of Lord Krishna, this temple was made in the place where he took a samadhi. Dating back to 1458 AD, the temple is a very famous pilgrimage site among Hindus and attracts flocks of tourists towards it.

In the morning and evening, one can attend an aarti here and enjoy the sounds of blissful hymns. The surroundings, the vibes, the positive aura and the sound of prayers make it one of the most famous Places to visit in Pokhran. The original design of this temple was made using clay but the local improvised it and made it using stone and other crafts.

Ramdevra Fair

Observed as a public holiday in the district of Pokhran, this fair is celebrated on the birth anniversary of the Saint for which the Ramdev Temple has been built. Around thousands of devotees gather here to visit the temple and take part in the fair.

What makes this fair one of the most famous Pokhran Tourist Places is the fact that people of various religions like hindu and mulsim both come here to offer prayers. In the fair, various food stalls and activities settle up and people enjoy an evening having fun with their loved ones.

Pokaharan Museum

One of the most famous Pokhran Tourist Places, the Pokhran Museum is the best place where you can indulge in the history of the town. From relics to sculptures and from ancient clothes to fresco paintings, the museum exhibits various well preserved items dating back to many decades and centuries.

Often referred to as the Desert Culture centre and Museum, this place provides some deep insights into the history of the town, how people survived on such harsh lands and how they used to live. Located in a fort complex, the museum is surrounded by a resort which has been inviting tourists since several years. The guests of that specific resort can enjoy the free visit facilities into the museum.

AALAP SAHA Camping in Jodhpur with Camel Safari

It is a great deal. Beautiful place to stay. Owner Mr. Mahaveer is very humble and helpful person. Food was tasty & ample. The provided unlimited mineral water for us as and when required. Camel safari was also good & enjoyable. We enjoyed true Rajasthani folk cultural program at night. It was diwali on that particular day. They had arranged some in-house fireworks. Dark starlit sky, campfire, fireworks, folk music & wines - the whole ambiance was ecstatic. Overall a very good & comfortable stay. Only thing I would like to remind you that the region where the camp is located is named Osiyan. Here, you won't find complete desert like Jaisalmer. It is more like a terrain covered with thorny bush. Sand dunes are limited though the camel will take you to a nearby one. But, it's not a fault of owner. You will get compensated with their warm & humble hospitality.

Prashant Agarwal Half Day Desert Safari In Jaisalmer

Superb

It includes only Camel ride and no Desert safari by Jeep. I had to pay 1200 more for 2 people for Desert safari by Jeep. The dinner was OKish. Camel ride was very good, on requesting he took us twice with just 50Rs. tip. There is an option to go for ATV ride also there @600 per person for a small round :P . But it was fun overall and I enjoyed it.
