Sun yat sen Nanyang memorial hall is a villa that is of two floors, which is now converted into a museum in the honor of Dr. Sun Yat Sen. Dr. Sun was the leader of a revolution that resulted in the fall of the Qing Dynasty. Dr. Sun had many supporters including Teo Eng Hock, Tan Chor Lam etc. The villa was originally bought by Wan Qing Yan for his mother to live in after her retirement and later it was given to Dr. Sun to carry out his revolutionary activities. Teo Eng Hock bought it completely for Dr. Sun.
The villa was declared a national monument and in 1996 the villa was renovated. The villa was then opened to the public in 2001. There are 5 galleries that showcase photos, letters, and multimedia that show Dr. Sun’s relationship with other revolutionists during that era. The other galleries display holograms that display the daily activities of Dr. Sun in the villa.
