The best time of the day to visit the Royal Alcázar of Seville is in the morning hours before 11 AM or in the evening after 3 PM. This way you can not only avoid the humidity and sweltering heat of the afternoon but also the big tour groups.

The best time of the year to visit is during the spring months around March and April when you can enjoy the fabulous gardens of the palace during this time when it is in full bloom.

Tips to Visit Royal Alcázar of Seville

• You can make use of the locker facilities available at the entrance to the palace to keep your personal belongings. 
• You can click photographs inside the palace but must refrain from flash photography or the use of tripods or selfie sticks.
• Wear comfortable footwear as you will have to do a lot of walking to explore this massive palace.

By Metro: This is the fastest and most convenient way to reach Alcazar. You have to get off at the Prado de San Sebastian station from where you can cover the remaining distance to the palace in about 3 minutes by foot. 

By Train: You can take the train and alight at Puerta Jerez station which is 2km from the site and can be easily covered walking.

By Bus: You can also take the bus to reach the palace from various parts of the city. You have to get off either at the Estacion Prado, Menendez Pelayo, Puerta Jerez or Prado San Sebastian stops.
