Revdanda Fort is a lesser-known yet historically significant fort located near Alibaug, Maharashtra, where the Arabian Sea meets the scenic Konkan coastline. Originally built by the Portuguese in the 16th century, this fort once served as a vital maritime outpost and trading centre. Though much of the structure is now in ruins, remnants of thick stone walls, bastions, and underground tunnels still narrate tales of power, trade, and naval ambitions.

Inside the fort, you’ll find traces of an old Portuguese church, a bell tower, and a long stone-paved road connecting the fort’s two main gates, one facing the land and the other facing the sea. Just beside the fort lies Revdanda Beach, a serene stretch of golden sands known for its peaceful vibe and captivating sunsets.

Offering a mix of colonial history and coastal charm, it is often listed among the most fascinating places to visit near Revdanda Beach for peaceful exploration and local heritage.
