Visit the Renon Square, a wonderful place to explore on your Bali trip which is completed with natural surroundings, lush green landscapes, an array of buildings and structures. Of all the things that Renon Square is known for, the historic Bajra Sandhi Monument, is, by far, the most famous. This monument was erected as a commemoration of the struggles of the Balinese for independence. You can also see many dioramas and diagrams inside the monument, in addition to a special viewpoint from where you can enjoy the panoramic views of the entire city of Denpasar.
Besides this, Renon Square also features the Niti Mandala Renon Field - a Monument which commemorates the struggle of the people of Bali. This monument has an impressive photo collection that depicts the Balinese struggles during the country’s war with the Dutch. Renon Square also has many food stalls and cafes, where you can tuck in to delicious local and international cuisines after you are done exploring the park.
