About Musee des Arts et Metiers Paris

If you are a science or technology buff, Musée des Arts et Métiers is a perfect destination to visit in Paris. It is a science and technology museum that consists of an assortment of scientific tools, instruments, and several other remarkable inventions from modern history. Founded in 1794, this museum was constructed to preserve these utile objects during revolutionary times. Hence, it is one of the oldest science museums in the entire Europe. Plan your trip to Europe and don't forget to include a visit to this fascinating museum of Paris.

When you enter the Musée des Arts et Métiers, it will feel like you have entered a massive junk drawer of 80000 objects and 15000 drawings that were responsible for the growth of civilization. The amazing part of the museum is its underground Arts and Metier metro station, embellished with copper tubing and large gears similar to the style of Jules Verne's novel.

The highlights of Musée des Arts et Métiers are the early aircraft, the first plane that was test-flown twelve years ago by Clément Ader before the Wright Brothers and the first plane to pass the borders of the English chanel. On your visit to the museum, you should also not forget to catch a glimpse of the first model of the Statue of Liberty.
