About Karang Beach

A small section of the much larger coastal stretch of the Sanur Beach in Denpasar, Karang Beach is known as “coral” in the local language of the region. Home to slightly coarse but still fine white sands, the beach is named after the vibrant coral reefs that emerge here during low tide. With the gentle and calm waves of the sea here, the beach has quickly become a popular spot amongst the tourists travelling with the wholesome Bali packages

Considered very safe for activities like sea kayaking, swimming and snorkelling, Karang Beach also has a myriad of hotels, resorts, restaurants and shopping stalls located alongside it. You can also find several inexpensive kayak rentals here. However, it is the beautiful romantic gazebos made in the Balinese style that take the cake. Located near the artificial jetties at the beach, these gazebos are perfect for not only relaxing and unwinding, but also serve as great spots for photography and for viewing the sunsets here.

Those who visit the beach in the early morning hours can also marvel at some of the most gorgeous sights of the sea here, with the rays of the morning sun adding even more beauty to the entire landscape. The tangerine sunrise of the Karang Beach is one of the best kept secrets of this region, especially with the traditional fishing boats all lined up on the beach during this time.
