Kalibari Temple

A joint effort by the Bengali community in Thane, the Kalibari Temple was started in the year 1996. The main deity of the temple is the Goddess Kali, although Goddess Laxmi and Goddess Saraswati are worshipped here as well.

The Kali temple resembles the ancient temples of Orissa, and contains a black stone idol that was crafted in Kolkata. The temple conducts puja and aarti on all days of the week at different timings.
