Hanging Gardens Of Mumbai

Hanging Gardens is 138 years old garden located on the western side of the Malabar Hills. It is a man-made terrace garden built on multi-level stone terraces owing to its name. The garden is covered with numerous trees, shrubs, and an array of colorful flowers. There are many hedges carved into various shapes of animals. One would love to spend some cherishable time in silence with themselves or friends and family.

Although it is one of the favorite spots of the locals but it is still quite calm and away from the hustle and bustle of the busy city. People like to come here for morning walks, jogs, and exercise as the environment is cleaner and greener than other areas.

3. Marine Drive: It is an arc-shaped road located on the south Mumbai coast, which starts at the southern end of Nariman Point and ends at Girgaum Chowpatty, popularly known as Chowpatty Beach. 9. Elephanta Caves: It is an elegant rock-cut art representing the architecture from the medieval Indian times. These caves are situated on Elephanta Island, which is 11 KM away from the coast of Mumbai. The journey to these caves is remarkable.

10. Gateway of India: Gateway of India is situated on the Apollo Bunder, which is the starting point of numerous ferry services too. It is a fantastic blend of Indian, Arabic, and Western architecture carved out from yellow basalt and solid concrete. The reason for initiating this structure was to welcome King George V and Queen Mary.

Hanging Gardens is 22 KM far from the Mumbai Airport. You should hire a taxi or catch an auto to travel here. It will take around 45 minutes to cover this distance. However, you can even find local transport to reach the Hanging Gardens.
