About Frost Magical Ice of Siam

The Frost Magical Ice of Siam is an exhibition of ice sculptures. It is located 15 kilometres from the heart of Pattaya and it opens its doors to tourists at 9 a.m. and closes at 7 p.m. You can book tickets with Thailand holiday packages that are available at a reasonable rate i.e. 600 baht for adults and 500 baht for children. Toddlers are allowed entry without any fee and the fee also includes a rented warm winter coat and a drink in the bar. The ocean sculptures are very artistically constructed and are well worth a visit. The surface is also made of ice and so the tourists visiting this location must walk with extreme caution due to the extremely slippery surface. The setting is tranquil, and the guiding staff is warm and welcoming. Despite being in a tropical country, visitors can experience what it's like to be in the Arctic.

The temperature inside the Dome is -10 degrees Celsius, while the temperature outside the dome is around 40 degrees Celsius or higher. Because the temperature is below zero degrees, the indoor section of the place is also known as Siam heaven. The setting is breathtakingly beautiful and has sculptures of polar bears inside. The place also has a snack corner where you can warm up yourself with a glass of hot coffee. The area outside the dome is known as the Himmapan forest, and it contains large sand sculptures that appear to be made of snow due to their white colour. The sculptures in the Himmapan forest depict mythological creatures that are thought to combine characteristics of several animals. Flying elephants, winged ghilen, and a dragon with wings are among the mythological creatures.

Inside, there is a tree called the Nariphon tree, which has fruits in the shape of a woman. Changing light colours in the ice create an incredibly beautiful setting and it is one of the best places to visit in Pattaya.

A unique and welcome experience from the constant heat.. As you’re provided with boots and a jacket with hood, I found the minus 15 degree temperature inside rather comfortable, almost refreshing. The complimentary drink at the ice bar is picture worthy. There are plenty of opportunities for picture taking. Young children will enjoy the slides with tubes. There is a cafe within the building but outside of the ice exhibit so you can enjoy a meal or drink as you thaw out.

This place is a complete opposite of the otherwise hot and humid weather of Thailand. Since we had booked our tickets through Thrillophilia, we did not have to wait in line, and entered fairly quickly. There are different zones here, but my personal favourite was the part which had an ice slide and igloo.

From the humid tropical heat of Thailand to the freezing Antartican climate, it was a short but wonderful experience at the Frost Magican Ice of Siam. Hard to miss, this wonderful tourist attraction is between the Dolphinarium and the Sriracha Tiger Zoo. So we were able to visit it on the same day. It is hard to miss as it is on the highway. Redeeming the voucher was a breeze. We got our tickets at the main gate. The first zone - The Himmapan - has white structures / sculptures. But since we went in the mid afternoon heat, we did not spend much time here. We were then handed knee length hooded coats to wear at the Frozen zone. A tip - bring some mittens and boots. I was wearing open footwear and struggled with the cold. You can rent gear at additional cost. There is a step-up zone to allow your body to acclamatize before stepping into the sub-zero room. The ice sculptures are wonderful. They have placed non-skid mats at places to stand and take pics - a very thoughtful gesture. An ice slide, an igloo and a tuk-tuk made of ice were the main attractions. The ice bar serves soft drinks in an ice glass for a coupon. There is a tiny amount of soft drink. But its the experience that counts. We then went through a step down room before going out to the food zone. This place has some snacks and drinks. All thought it is a lovely place, the main reason to come here is for the ice sculptures. These are placed close to each other in not-a-large room and so one cannot stay inside for long. The experience was short, but memorable.

The Frost Magical Ice of Siam was an unexpected and last minute addition to our itinerary in Pattaya. The ice sculptures were really fantastic in terms of skill and beauty. We had a guide who showed us around and told us about the stories and fantasies that the sculptures derived themselves from.
