About Dom Tower

It was built in the Gothic style between 1321 and 1382 and is a beautiful remnant of the old Cathedral of Saint Martin, which was destroyed by a tornado in 1674. Ascend the 465 steps to see historical rooms and learn about how the tower was built.

The climb provides an exciting tour across several architectural eras. At the top, you can see Utrecht and the surrounding area, including the Utrechtse Heuvelrug hills and the Dutch countryside. There are also famous bells in the tower, such as the Great Bell, which is used for ceremonies.
