About Aquarium de Paris

L'Aquarium de Paris, also known as Aquarium de Paris-Cinéaqua, is located in the Trocadéro gardens near the Eiffel Tower and is the country's largest artificial pond. Built in 1867, L'Aquarium de Paris is one of the oldest aquariums in the world! It was formerly known as Aquarium du Trocadéro and housed exclusively freshwater species. Today, however, it offers an immersive marine experience allowing visitors to catch a close glimpse at over 30 varieties of sharks, 2,500 jellyfish, 700 coral colonies, and mangroves.

This family-friendly attraction houses over 13,000 different fish and invertebrates collected from around the world's seas. From ferocious sharks to magical jellyfishes, there are plenty of things to see and learn about at this famous tourist attraction. Besides watching the inhabitants of the aquatic world swimming across the large pools, you can also interact with friendly species such as goldfish and Koi carp at the caress pool. With the Best Europe Packages, there are also two cinema halls at the grand aquarium de Paris where you can watch educational films, National Geographic documentaries, and cartoons to expand your knowledge about the underwater world.

Moreover, throughout the year, L'Aquarium de Paris provides a variety of live shows, workshops, and exhibits to entertain and educate its visitors. Medusarium, Europe's largest jellyfish exhibit, is a must-see attraction of this amazing aquarium.
